Online Flea Markets and Classifieds in Slovakia
Flea markets are an excellent way to buy well and cheaply. In Slovakia, selling, swapping or simply giving away second-hand things is regarded as perfectly normal: they can still be useful to someone else. We have put together a list of popular Slovak online sites where you can pick up used goods in excellent condition at a low price.

Most people here see flea markets not as a way of making money but as a chance to reduce the burden on the environment and at the same time help those who cannot afford to buy something new. That is why you often come across practically unused items at half the shop price, and sometimes for a token sum or for nothing at all.
On Slovak classifieds you can find almost anything: clothes and shoes, children’s goods and toys, musical instruments, books, furniture, household appliances, kitchenware, bed linen, camping equipment, sports goods and tools.
Bazoš.sk – the largest classifieds board
If you are looking for an item of a particular make, simply type the name in quotation marks – the system will return only matching listings (for example “Škoda Octavia”).
Listings are sorted into categories: home and garden, electrical goods, sport, music, books, furniture, clothing, children’s goods, computers, mobile phones, photography, property, services and more.
There is no registration on Bazoš.sk, but the seller’s contact details are usually hidden: to see them the site will ask for a phone number and send an SMS with a code. The site has a mobile app for Android and iOS. If you are interested in vehicles, we covered that separately in the article Slovak online car markets.
Bazar.sk – listings with an automatic search
Another site for private classified ads with a wide range of goods and services categories. There is a filter by the name of the item you are looking for and by location, and you can contact the seller by phone or through a contact form.
Search agent
If you are looking for a particular item and do not want to spend time checking regularly, use the automatic search service Vyhľadávací agent. The system will select listings matching your criteria and send them to you by email. The service is free.
The “Darujem za odvoz” section
Bazar.sk has a section where things are given away free – children’s toys, household items, furniture, appliances. There is usually one condition: you collect them yourself. This site has a mobile app as well.
Careful: how not to fall for a fraudster
Be careful when paying. If a seller suggests paying for the item through a third-party link where you have to enter your bank card details, do not agree. That is the most common way fraudsters operate on classifieds sites.
If you do fall victim, report it to the police straight away with a detailed description of what happened. Attach a copy of the listing, a printout of the email correspondence and proof of payment to your report. Be sure to state that you wish to be informed of the action taken.
We looked at other typical scams on the Slovak internet and at ways of checking a seller in the article Where to buy gifts: reputable Slovak online shops.
Other buy-and-sell sites
Bazarveci.sk
A Slovak online bazaar for second-hand items with a clear interface and filters by category, location and price. People look here for furniture, clothing, kitchen accessories, sports equipment, electrical goods, toys, and tools for the home and garden.
Modrykonik.sk
Listings on the Modrý koník bazaar are openly accessible, but you can only contact the seller after registering. The site is aimed above all at mothers and children’s goods. The administrators publish their own guidance on safe transactions – worth reading before your first purchase.
Za-odvoz.sk
A site where things are simply given away. Mostly this is furniture of an older generation, kitchen accessories, children’s toys and baby goods, leftover building materials and parts for household appliances.
Reduced-price goods at the big online shops
You can buy appliances more cheaply than second-hand too: the big retailers have separate sections for reduced items.
Alza.sk
Alza has a section selling unpackaged, refurbished and used goods. Unpackaged items are new, with no signs of wear and with the full two-year guarantee. Refurbished ones have signs of light wear, for example barely visible scratches on a laptop lid, and are sold with a reduced guarantee. The used category has visible surface wear and a minimal guarantee. The exact guarantee periods are stated on each product’s page.
Allegro (formerly Mall.sk)
Mall.sk ceased operating as a standalone shop in spring 2025 and moved to the Allegro platform, where its range is presented as a separate section. Here too you can find goods with damaged packaging, items returned by previous customers and reduced lines – at discounts noticeably larger than usual. Such goods carry a guarantee and the standard right of return within 14 days for a distance purchase.
More ways to save are in our list of Discount and deal portals in Slovakia, and there is an overview of the main appliance shops in the article Household appliances and electronics in Slovakia.
Facebook Marketplace and flea market groups
Facebook Marketplace is a much-used platform for bargain buys; all you need for access is a profile on the network. If the section does not show on your toolbar, you can activate it in your profile settings.
Besides Marketplace itself, themed groups are very popular, where people sell or give away everything from glass jars to bedroom suites. The easiest way to find them is by names of the type “bazár”, “burza” or “darujem za odvoz” with your town or district added: for example groups for Bratislava, for its individual districts, or Slovakia-wide communities. The set of groups changes over time, so it is more reliable to search for current ones directly in the Facebook search.
The KOLO reuse centre in Bratislava
Bratislava has a reuse centre called KOLO. Residents bring in furniture, household items, crockery, kitchen utensils, books, discs, stationery, interior items, costume jewellery, children’s toys, sports goods, child car seats, hiking rucksacks, suitcases and bags – anything the family no longer uses.
Goods are divided into several price groups: each item carries a round sticker of a particular colour corresponding to the size of the charitable contribution. The minimum price is token, and the final amount is given at the till. The proceeds go towards supporting the centre and helping other non-profit organisations.
The centre is at Pestovateľská 13 (OC Korzo) in Bratislava. Check the current opening hours on the centre’s website before visiting.
Frequently asked questions
Which platform is the biggest in Slovakia?
Bazoš.sk is the largest classifieds board, with goods in every category. Facebook Marketplace is also widely used for second-hand purchases.
Do you need to register in order to message a seller?
It depends on the platform. Bazoš has no registration, but to see contact details you have to confirm a phone number by SMS. On Modrý koník you can only contact a seller after registering.
How do you pay safely for a second-hand purchase?
The safest option is to pay in person once you have inspected the item. Never enter your card details through a link sent by the seller, and never send a prepayment to someone you do not know.
Where in Slovakia can you get things for free?
On Za-odvoz.sk, in the “Darujem za odvoz” section on Bazar.sk and in themed Facebook groups. There is usually one condition – you collect the item yourself.
Is there a guarantee on reduced goods in the shops?
Yes. At large retailers such as Alza, unpackaged goods carry the full guarantee, and refurbished and used ones a reduced guarantee. The exact period is stated on the product page, and the right of return within 14 days on an online purchase still applies.

Flea markets in Bratislava: where to look in person
Online listings are not the only option. Bratislava also has real flea markets (in Slovak blší trh or blšák), where you can haggle, handle the item and take it away straight away, with no messaging and no prepayment.
The flea market at the Inter stadium
The best known and biggest flea market in the city. It runs on Fridays and Sundays: the gates open at around 9:00 (earlier on Sunday, about 7:00) and trading goes on until roughly 13:00. There is an entry charge, but a token one – around 80 cents.
You come across literally everything here: tools, crockery, books, clothes, old electronics, bicycles, furniture. It is best to arrive first thing – the best of it goes in the first couple of hours.
Burzoblšák in Ružinov
A calmer format – it takes place in a primary school building at Drieňová 72/16 in Ružinov. It is usually one Saturday a month, from 8:00 to 13:00. Entry for visitors is free, and so is parking.
The atmosphere is closer to an urban jumble sale: less chaos, more things for the home, children’s goods and vintage.
Summer flea markets at the Stará tržnica
In the summer months flea markets are held regularly at the Stará tržnica in the city centre, on Saturdays from around 9:00. The format is closer to design and vintage: clothes, records, jewellery, interior pieces.
Important: dates and schedules change from season to season. A convenient place to check the current calendar of flea markets and collectors’ fairs across Slovakia is zberatelom.sk.
What to take with you
- Cash in small notes. Cards are accepted almost nowhere, and a seller will not thank you for having to give change from 50 euros.
- Your own bag. Bags are rarely provided.
- A readiness to haggle. This is normal: you can usually get the price down by 20-30%, especially if you are taking several items from the same seller.
- Come early. By midday a lot of it is already gone.
Is there an OLX in Slovakia?
No. OLX does not operate in Slovakia – if you were used to it in Ukraine, there is no point looking for it here.
The direct Slovak equivalent of OLX is Bazoš.sk: the same principle of free listings from private individuals, the same categories from appliances to animals, the same “agree between yourselves and meet up” approach. Bazoš is where the bulk of the listings go that in Ukraine would be posted on OLX.
The second most popular is Bazar.sk. For clothes and children’s goods Vinted is often more convenient; it operates fully in Slovakia, with delivery.
When it is better to buy new
Flea markets are good for furniture, children’s things and appliances you would not mind losing. But there are categories where the new item costs almost the same and comes with a guarantee and the right of return.
This applies above all to textiles, kitchenware and small household appliances – compare flea market prices with the sales at 4Home.sk. And large appliances: at TPD.sk last year’s models often go at a discount, but with the full guarantee and the right to return the item within fourteen days.
This section contains affiliate links: if you follow them and buy something, we receive a small commission. This has no effect at all on the price you pay.
