About the Pomosh.sk project
Pomosh.sk is a reference site for people who live in Slovakia or are planning to move here and who prefer information in a language they actually understand.
We explain in plain language the things you normally have to piece together yourself in Slovakia: how to extend your status, how to find housing, how much rent costs, how to set up a company, where to take a child to the doctor, and how to find a specialist who speaks your language.

How we prepare our material
- We rely on primary sources. Conditions for residence statuses, taxes, deadlines and fees are checked against the websites of state authorities and official documents, not against what people repeat in chat groups.
- We state when the information was current. Rules in Slovakia change, especially around statuses and allowances. If a figure or a deadline may be out of date, we say so directly.
- We verify contacts. The specialists and clinics in our directory are checked against official websites and registers. If an organisation closes down, we remove it.
- We know our limits. We are not lawyers, doctors or tax advisers. Our material helps you understand and prepare, but it does not replace advice from a qualified professional.
