So, Slovakia has several large international airports serving passengers from all over the world. Numerous flights offered by various airlines connect Bratislava, Košice and Poprad with the main European capitals, such as Madrid, Paris, Brussels, Rome, London, Prague, Vienna, Riga, Warsaw and Kyiv.
The most popular is Bratislava airport, just 9 km from the city centre.
Bratislava Airport

The largest airport in Slovakia, named after the soldier and politician Milan Štefánik.

It has 3 terminals
- the terminal opened to the public in July 2012 (arrivals and departures)
- terminal B — for arrivals and departures outside the Schengen area
- the general aviation terminal
On the ground floor of the departures terminal there are 29 check-in desks for passengers, one of them for oversized baggage.

Košice Airport

The airport lies 8 km south-east of the city of Košice in eastern Slovakia. It is the second largest airport in Slovakia and handles both scheduled and charter flights. Košice International Airport offers a wide choice of destinations within Slovakia and beyond. Scheduled destinations include Brussels, Kyiv, London, Milan, Munich, Prague, Riga, Rome, Warsaw, Vienna and Salzburg. Many charter destinations are also available, including holiday spots in Egypt, Greece, Spain and Turkey. Several transport options are available to and from the airport, including taxis, buses and car hire. The airport also has a large car park offering convenient, secure long-stay parking.
How to get to the airport.

What is important to know before you fly?
Travellers are advised to have the following documents and items with them:
- Passport: Ukrainians must have a valid international passport to enter Slovakia. The passport must be valid for at least 3 months beyond the date on which you intend to leave Slovakia.
- Flight tickets: you need tickets with a confirmed seat on board.
- Visa: Ukrainian citizens with a biometric international passport do not need a visa when flying within the European Union.
- For flights outside Europe, the general rules for all travellers apply. Some countries may require visas or have specific entry rules.
- Medical insurance: Ukrainians are advised to take out travel medical insurance so that they are covered in the event of unexpected medical problems.
At present there are no COVID-19 restrictions on travel.

It is worth noting that air tickets are usually cheaper in the low season, when there are fewer travellers. And they can be more expensive at weekends than on weekdays.
